The Nith Young Anglers were fishing for salmon at Carnsalloch on Dumfries and Galloway Angling Association’s beat on the River Nith today. They had a brilliant day trying different methods of fishing for salmon, including spinning, fly fishing and worming.
The salmon proved elusive but they did catch a 1.5lb Grayling and a number of juvenile salmon, trout and Grayling. A huge thank you to DGAA for allowing us to fish their beat for the day and for the season tickets that they have donated to our young Anglers. Now they know the beat we hope to see them down there over the next couple of months trying to catch a salmon or two! Tight lines to our Young Anglers, who all showed us some brilliant casting today. With angling like that you have every chance of catching a salmon!
