Nith Young Anglers Club 26th August 2017.

Again a good turn out for the Nith Young Anglers Club at the very well tended (thank you David), stocked and beautiful surroundings of Drum Loch.

This is just one part of an ongoing programme to introduce the local youth to the wonderful and healthy sport of fishing in their area. An initiative organised by The Nith District Salmon Fishery Board and the Nith Catchment Fishery Trust, working alongside Borderlines and various fishery owners.

What has been noticeable during this programme is that many of the parents are also taking an interest in fishing, a great way of bonding!

A quick introduction and then it was the young anglers who were to take control of the various aspects of fly fishing.

It was a day of fair weather and good fishing with most managing to attach them selves to a fish or two (Andrew above had eight!).

There seemed to be a lot of smiling around today!

Happy day’s!
